AJ’s Walleye Lodge on the North Shore of Lake Gogebic has expanded and opened a new Bar & Grille on the North Shore of Lake Gogebic this past summer.   We know that we are headed in a busy winter season and we recognize that we can only be as good as the Team that supports us!

Cook  II

The Lead Cook is responsible for cooking and preparing food according to recipes and production guidelines while adhering to strict food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures.   In addition, the Lead Cook will be responsible for oversight or delegation of responsibilities within the culinary operation during their designated shift.    The Lead Cook will help create menus and make inventory suggestions, as well as staffing suggestions, training and mentoring of the kitchen staff.    Starts at $14-17 hour (commensurate with experience).

Cook I

As a member of the Food & Beverage Team,  your role will be to prepare high-quality pizzas, sandwiches, salads and other menu items according to customers’ orders.    The Cook/Pizza Maker’s responsibilities include preparing pizza dough, cutting, grating, or slicing various ingredients to be used as toppings, and removing pizza debris from the pizza ovens.   To be successful as a Cook/Pizza Maker, position requires that kitchen safety/cleanliness protocol is properly followed.  Starts $12-15 hour (commensurate with experience)

Housekeeping Attendant

As a member of the Housekeeping Team, your role will be to ensure the cleanliness and attractive appearance of the guest accommodations and public spaces in accordance with Walleye Lodge standards.   Starts at $13-15 hour/hour (commensurate with experience).

Property Operations/General Labor:

As a member of the Property Operations Team, this position will assist both the lodge and the restaurant and will include:  assisting with boats, ground maintenance, minor repairs and maintenance, receiving and storing of deliveries, hauling and stacking wood, assisting the housekeeping team and or kitchen staff when necessary. Starts at $12-$15 hour (commensurate with experience).
