Cruisin’ the Upper Peninsula of Michigan!

Book your group at AJ’s Walleye Lodge where you’ll find great accommodations, secure parking and a place to wash your bike while you enjoy our magnificent view. There is a lot of Cruisin’ to be had in the Lake Gogebic area. The area is home to some fantastic waterfalls, some great roads, and some breathtaking sights. Riders usually get to Lake Gogebic by heading North on 45 and then West on Highway 2 to M64N. Another route is = 51N through Minocqua, then follow highway M to B through Boulder Junction and Presque Isle to Highway 2 and then 64N to M28. The ride up to Lake Gogebic is an amazing ride in itself!

Follow M64N to M28 and the Walleye Lodge is located right on M28. In addition to clean, comfortable rooms and an amazing view, we offer great access and a safe environment. Relax and unwind after your day’s ride with a lakeside view with your friends around the fire.

There are many beautiful rides in the U.P. – here are a few to get you started:

Rides:

  • Black River & Presque Isle Falls: To the West of the Walleye Lodge you will find the Black and Presque Isle Rivers. On these two rivers, you’ll find some of the best waterfalls in the U.P. On the Black River, you’ll find 5 different falls, and each one is different. All within walking distance from the parking areas. Check out our waterfalls page!
  • Porcupine Mountains and The South Boundary Loop connects the north and south end of the Porcupine Mountains State Park. It’s two lanes of blacktop that twist and turn their way along the eastern perimeter of the Porkies. One of the best motorcycling roads in the U.P. While you are in the Porcupine Mountains be sure to stop, and check out the Lake of the Clouds. There’s a great parking facility and it’s a short walk to a spectacular view.
  • The East Shore Road takes you around the east side of Lake Gogebic. It’s a nice ride even and there are a few great pits stops to include the Root Cellar, The Gogebic Lodge, Fishtales and the Hoop N Holler. There are also some good spots to park and relax or park and hike – if you are so inclined.
  • Bond Falls Road is a fun road to motorcycle with two lanes of blacktop that winds you through the woods to one of the most popular falls in the U.P – Bond Falls. You can enter the park through M28 or Highway 45. When you leave Bond Falls on 45, you can make a left and be at the Casino or golf course in 10 minutes!
