Do you allow smoking? No, The State of Michigan does not allow smoking in hotel rooms and the Lodge is a non-smoking facility. Guests who have been found to be smoking in our rooms will be charged an additional $100 cleaning fee.
Do you allow pets? If so, are there any limitations? We allow pets (dogs only) in a few select rooms with a $10/day/pet charge. To book a room with a pet, you must book it directly with the hotel to check availability. If you arrive with a dog without notifying the hotel ahead of time, you may be refused your room and lose your deposit.
When is front desk service available? Our front desk is open from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. We are always available to respond to our guests, but have set hours so that we may maintain family time. At check in we try to determine your schedule so that we can best meet your needs with regards to bait, tackle, ice, etc.
Do you have a restaurant? We do not have a restaurant on property, however, many of our rooms do have kitchen facilities. There are several restaurants in the area and we will be developing a restaurant in the near future..
Do you offer babysitting? We have a 12 year old son and can make some recommendations for very responsible sitters.

What are your reservation and cancellation policies:
- In order to guarantee your reservation we require a deposit equal to the rate of one nights stay or $100, whichever is greater.
- To receive a refund of your deposit, you must make a request to cancel at least 14 days prior to your arrival. Cancellations made with less than 14 days notice will be billed to your credit card unless we are able to re-book your room.
- Your charge card number will be used to confirm your room. Full payment will be charged to your card upon check-in unless you make other arrangements. Cash or check is preferred.
- Large hotels and motels often overbook to cover late cancellations. Because we’re a small lodge, we don’t do this. Therefore, we must have a Policy to ensure you that your room(s) will be ready when you arrive, and, assure us that your room is sold as well. We reserve the right to change your room to an equal or better location without notification. We try not to change rooms, but sometimes it’s necessary for us to do so. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
To Cancel a reservation: Please contact the Lodge to obtain a cancellation number at 906-575-3557. No reservation will be considered canceled without this number. Payment in full is required upon check-in. Early checkouts will be required to pay for the total days reserved.
