Lake Gogebic Ice - May 5th

Happy Cinco De Mayo! We just drove by Sunday Lake again today and it is 90% opened up. Rule of thumb says that Lake Gogebic opens up about 7-10 days after Sunday Lake, and if that’s holds true we might just have an Opener on the 15th!!. Lake Gogebic shorelines are opening up more and the main lake has turned very black. Forecast calls for temps in high 50′s-60′s and we should see a quick melt. We will have our piers in as soon as possible, Follow the ice melt at www.walleyelodge.com and we look forward to seeing you soon!
