Walleye Lodge has several things going for it when it comes to planning a fishing trip. Starting with your hosts who love to fish, you will usually see us out early in the morning catching a fresh batch for breakfast. We also will give you the latest fi shing info at check in to help get you of to a good start. We are actually located on the lake, on the North shore of Bergland Bay, which is home to some of the best fi shing on the lake. Might not sound like much but when you can see your boat from your room and you get to enjoy the
great lake views you will feel it‘s a big plus.

The bay off ers large weed beds, calmer waters and a wide variety of fish. Biggest bait shop on the lake is just half mile west of us and in the summer we have our own live bait shop. Starting in the spring of ‘08 we will off er fi shing and hunting licenses on the spot for your convenience. We have over 400’ of dock space in the summer at no charge to our guests, so bring your own boat or rent one of ours. In the winter several packed snowmobile trails over the lake make the walk or ride a lot easier.

If that’s not enough to win you over, how about 19 units that can comfortably sleep up to 120 guests? Th ese units are large, clean and the most reasonably priced on the lake. From single motel rooms, to bunkhouses, to fi replace apartments, to two bedroom apartments we have a wonderful mixed bag that will meet most needs. We rent all units by the day, week or month whatever your needs are. We are a small mom and pop place, Yooper owned and we live right here on the premises to be of help if you need us. So please give us a try.

Thanks in advance,

ABOUT US

Both of us were born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Smitty in Negaunee, D in Ralph. We are both NMU grads, and have lived in the UP all of our lives, except for a four year trip for Smitty sponsored by Uncle Sam & the Navy, which included three Tours in Vietnam. We have owed the Walleye for about ten years and love the Western UP. We do head South for a much needed vacation when the snowmobiling winds down in mid March, but are back relaxed and ready for the Walleye Opener on May 15th.
