We just had the opportunity to spend last weekend at the lodge. We had a group in the Bears Den downstairs and really enjoyed our stay. I truly appreciate your willingness to work with our group on the accommodations, your suggestions on the room fit us perfect. Everyone we met at the Lodge from your staff to the people that stay with you are all awesome. I can tell you that you have repeat customers with our group. We hope to schedule another visit soon, and also look forward to seeing the facilities in the summer. Have a great 2019.

Amazing Stay - Highly Recommend- September 2017

My review is long overdue. I took my younger brother on a weekend getaway for his high school graduation gift to AJ’s Walleye lodge during mid July. Being from Chicago, the trip up to AJ’s took about 6 hours driving, but it was well worth it! Mary Beth was absolutely amazing to work with from beginning to end! She answered every single question we had as we were booking the trip. We ended up staying 3 nights in the Eagle’s Nest suite, which feels brand new, and has it’s own patio on the second floor, with a breathtaking view of the lake. The two bedrooms were spacious, and the kitchen was more than adequate for cooking if need be. Everything was extremely clean. The property itself is gorgeous, and incredibly fun to explore, and curl up with a good book or board games. I can’t describe how peaceful this place it. We also rented the fishing pontoon boat for two days during our stay, which could probably sit 6 comfortably. It was awesome to have for only two people, and the included fish finder came in handy. Also, bait and tackle are available on the property, so it’s everything you could want in a fishing adventure! If it’s in your budget, I’d upgrade for this boat. The internet works great, and I was able to work out of my hotel room while lil bro slept in. The price for our stay was incredibly reasonable, and worth every penny. We cannot wait to come back to AJ’s! We took a look at some of the other options in the area, and AJ’s blows them away. You will not be disappointed. Just finished our fishing trip at the lodge. Top notch. Jim and Mary Beth made us feel like family the minute we stepped foot onto the lodge. The view from our room was amazing and the fishing was excellent! I can’t say enough about how great the trip was. I would highly recommend AJs Walleye Lodge for anyone considering staying on Lake Gogebic. I know my family and I will be back there. Thanks for a great experience Jim and Mary Beth! Sid and Sons

A great big thank you goes out to Jim and Mary Beth for making our stay unforgettable. We came to AJ’s Walleye Lodge for a long weekend getaway Thursday thru Sunday to just enjoy some peace and quiet on the lake. This trip turned out a lot better than expected and we did not want to leave once Sunday came around. The fireplace suite we stayed in was very comfortable and nicely decorated. We enjoyed swimming , fishing and boating. It was nice having a bait and tackle shop onsite to help us with our fishing gear purchase. If you are looking for a beautiful place to stay with very accommodating hosts this is the place. We will definitely come back again. John Mayrens Chicago Il
