Trail conditions: Good (for now)
There’s a chance of rain in the forecast for Friday and so far (knock on wood), we have not seen any! The termperature today is about 36 degrees. However, there is snow in the forecast for tomorrow as well as the onset of colder temperature!! We just gotta make it through whatever today brings, and then we’ll be back on track. Colder temps for most of next week and there are a couple of days within the week that we have seen snow in the forecast. A lot of our guests at the lodge are just hanging out and cooking good food and getting up early tomorrow morning! We’ll let you know about the reports of the trails as they come in.
Couple of notes: Cops were giving out tickets to riders on the highways, especially M28. Also loud pipes are going to get you a ticket. We have lost trails do to excessive noise from sleds, the DNR is serious about ticketing for noise. Especially with the soft snow over this weekend – access to Lake Gogebic from the Walleye Lodge is reserved for guests and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation with that!
