We’ve not had any time to get out on the lake fishing - as it’s been crazy busy here with all the visitor activity (which is really great). Therefore, we are going to “borrow” a post from the South End of the lake: “Lake Gogebic report was slow last weekend as cold temps kept anglers off the ice. Milder temps are now in the forecast and we should see angler activity pick up.. Ice conditions are now fair to good throughout the lake, but slush has been a problem in many areas and we are hoping that the cold temps firm things up a bit. Snowmobiles are now the best way to travel. The best Walleye bite has been in 12 feet and about 20feet. Perch action has been slow, but best reports have been in 24ft. to 28ft. We’ve got plenty of bait and are open this weekend at 6:00 p.m.! Don’t forget that this weekend is the Lake Gogebic Ice Fishing Tournament! For more information, go to www.walleyelodge.com!
Best of luck and always use good judgement out on the ice!
