We took an amazing ride on Trail 1 down the West Shore of Lake Gogebic and it was like a snow paved highway. Stopped by the Gogebic Lodge and spent some time with Don which is always good fun. Headed on the 100 and saw quite a few deer and then headed North on Trail 13 which is very scenic. Trails were beautiful – traffic was light – what more could you ask for. We ended our ride at the Bergland Bay Bar to see Tom and have one of his infamous Beef Sandwiches! Delicious, delicious, delicious.
Trail conditions are good and there’s nothing challenging to report. We are in for a bit of a warmup this week and yes, there is some rain in the forecast even though the report shows less of a chance today than it did yesterday. There’s even a chance that the warmup may miss us altogether and then the precipitation we receive could be snow! With lighter traffic, cooler temps heading in next weekend and the fact that Lake Superior is still wide open, we feel pretty confident in stating that there is still a LOT of good riding to be had well into March. Jim said he has not plowed enough snow yet this season and that he’s got a several more feet to go!
Give us a call - we’ve got some weekday availability and weekends in March! We look forward to seeing you!
