Lake Gogebic fishing has been on the upswing and anglers who’ve been persistent and determined have been rewarded with some outstanding catches. One group of guests brought in 8 legal Walleye caught right in front of the lodge in about 13′ of water. Others have found their luck off shore during low light. Crappie and sunfish have been active as we even had some good catches off the dock. Smallmouth have started to provide good action in 5-8 ft. Leeches, crawlers and a mixed bag of minnow all seem to be hitting. Temps in the Bay hit 60 this weekend. Forecast is looking good - and there’s plenty of good fishing to be had.
AJ’s Walleye Lodge is located right on the North Shore of Lake Gogebic in Bergland Bay where right where a lot of good fishing happens. We have more than 420′ of dock space for your boats, and fishing boats and pontoons to rent if you don’t want to haul your boat. Our lakefront accommodations are clean, comfortable and have the best view on Lake Gogebic! We are also located within close proximity to the Porcupine Mountains, Bond Falls and Copper Peak.
